The Wet's Reason
An Image showing the support of prohibition
because of the first World War
Many of the wets were kept closeted because they saw little to no harm. Prohibition was slightly in action when World War 1 happened. It was made so the alcohol production was reduced to minimal so the United States could save the most grain and foods possible .
Although this was true, their was still many wets overall. They saw no harm in the consumption of alcohol. In fact they noticed that alcohol was a huge part in the U.S's economy so they tried to over weigh the harms of alcohol with the pros of alcohol that were sometimes larger; such as a good economy versus a good liver.
